Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Example CAD is a sole trader based in Sheffield, United Kingdom, and is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Personal data is processed in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

01

What we collect

A project enquiry collects your name, company, email address and the project details you choose to share: project type, file formats, deadline and description. The site sets no analytics or tracking cookies. A single browser storage entry records your cookie-banner choice.

02

How we use it

Enquiry data is used to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if the work goes ahead, deliver it. The lawful basis is legitimate interest for responding to a business enquiry you initiated, and performance of a contract after that point. Personal data is never sold and never added to a marketing list.

03

Retention

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Project records, including correspondence, are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and contract requirements.

04

Sharing

Data is not shared with third parties beyond the service providers needed to run the business, currently email hosting and accounting, each bound by their own data-processing terms, or where the law requires it. Technical files you send are covered by commercial confidentiality, and by an NDA wherever one is in place.

05

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and object to processing. To exercise any of these, email enquiries@examplecad.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

06

Cookies

This site uses essential functionality only, and stores your cookie-banner preference in your browser's local storage. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are set.
